Job Description Are you a talented all-round Animator? Can you boast of skills including 2d 3d and Animation? 

We're partnered with one of the worlds biggest developers and producers of Arcade Machines and experiences. This business is part of one of the largest publishers on earth originating from Japan. They have their hub based in Cardiff and it is here they design build and fabricate their Arcade Machines. These are shipped and played all around the globe. This role has come about as they are now bringing in house the duties they have previously outsourced. 

Based in their new Cardiff R & D building this team encompass software electronic mechanical and graphic design teams all under one roof. They deliver games from first sketch to production prototypes; so you can see your work grow from first concept to playable cabinet! This role will see you work with all of the team and manage a small (for now) art team. This is a really unique role to test all of your art and creative skills to the maximum.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the art team in creating and delivering assets
• Concepting/Storyboarding new ideas and games
• Delivering 2D Art including cabinet artwork and promotional materials
• 2D and 3D animation design and implementation
• Animation pipeline development and maintenance

 To be considered for the role we'd love to see:

• Recent experience with industry standard art and 3D animation packages (Maya Motion Builder 3DS Max and Adobe CS)
• Strong experience and understanding of character and animation art pipelines
• Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
• A varied updated and interesting portfolio displaying your art skills
• Must have recent work experience in the Games Industry.
• Ability to work cross departmentally and effectively communicate to support systems/feature development.
• Must have been a Lead or Senior developer on several large console or preferably PC games
• Art degree or similar is desirable
