Job Description About the role: This is a key and exciting role within the Marketing Department, responsible for driving GMG acquisition campaigns through paid search, SEO, display, affiliate marketing and social media.   The successful candidate should be a paid media expert and come from an online retail background.    Role responsibilities:
  • Manage a team o3 channel specialists driving marketing campaigns across SEO, PPC, affiliate, display and paid social activity
  • Plan and co-ordinate integrated marketing campaigns to maximise the efficient acquisition of traffic (CPC, cost-per-visit), revenue and new customers
  • Ensure the timely delivery of acquisition campaigns including, for instance, lead times for creative development and media placements.
  • Supporting senior management in ensuring that campaign plans are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Measure and reporting on post-campaign metrics, communicating learnings and achievements to key stakeholders and the marketing team in general
  • Research new media and brand partnership opportunities
  • Lead a programme of test and learn activity, providing regular project updates and reports to line management and relevant stakeholders
  • Manage marketing finances ensuring that costs are kept within budget limits
  • Create presentations and other documentation on campaign plans and performance for the EVP Performance Marketing as required
  • Manage and implement marketing tags via GMG tag-management-system
  • Manage and optimise product feeds
  • Contribute to an effective team working approach

  • A strong understanding and appreciation of digital marketing and a hunger to build even more experience in this field
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills and ability to interrogate data and present insights in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong excel skills enabling tight, robust, regular reporting
  • Deep technical understanding of web analytics and digital tracking methodologies
  • Entrepreneurial, ability to work by themselves / within a team, multi-task, drive projects and meet deadlines.
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, combined with a solutions-oriented focus and willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ in order to get the job done

              Experience: You should have:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing and optimising paid and owned media channels i.e. PPC, display, affiliates/price-comparison sites, social media and email
  • Experience working in at least one fast-paced online retail environment
  • A proven track record in delivering essential retail-related KPIs such as traffic, new customer acquisition, revenue and margin
  • A demonstrable focus on ROI, CPAs and/or COS (cost of sale) when managing paid media campaigns
  • Experience managing external vendors/agencies
  • 3+ years hands-on experience using web analytics tools to deliver business reporting
  • Hands-on knowledge of tag management solutions such as Telium or GTM

  Nice to have: -       As a computer games company, a passion for games and a knowledge of the games industry is a distinct advantage -       Working knowledge of SEO, conversion optimisation, UX and design are desirable -       Knowledge of, or experience working in, other areas of eCommerce e.g. User Experience, Operations, BI -       Experience working with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or similar is beneficial, but not essential -       Experience designing high-converting UX with proven track record of success -       Knowledge of CMS, HTML / CSS, JavaScript, PHP or ASP.NET is an advantage -       Graduate or relevant qualifications in statistics, mathematics
