About you

We’re looking for someone who understands the subtleties and programming nuances required to create fun gameplay, is a great ‘team player’, and is self-driven, to help make our games flourish.

You’ll spend the majority of your day in a multi-disciplinary team including art, audio, design, production and QA taking ideas through various stages of production from idea generation through prototyping and into production. We like people to own game features end-to-end so you’ll need to author game-code, data formats, tooling, engine integrations and whatever else is needed to make a game feature work.

You’ll need to help the other disciplines in understanding how game systems, technology, processes and platform requirements fit together, so excellent communication skills are required, as well as an ability to translate complex technical requirements into real-world language.

About this role

If you fit the description below, we’d love to hear from you:

  • You’re a talented coder, and have spent years shipping great games on console or PC
  • You have an excellent technical understanding of C++ and C#
  • You have experience using Unity, Perforce, Visual Studio and console SDKs
  • You understand the complexities of modern game technology and the programming nuances required to create fun gameplay
  • You have a degree in Computer Science or similar, or substantial professional programming experience
  • You’ve great English language communication skills and can convey complex technical information to various teams in ways that they can understand and work with
  • You enjoy working hard to meet deadlines, while producing great quality, well structured, well documented and robust code
  • You can successfully plan, structure and produce working game systems, plus own the processes that fill them with content
  • You’re happy, passionate, creative, professional, diplomatic and love working alongside other disciplines to make great games happen

Salary for this role is, as is often the case, dependent on experience, but will be competitive. A performance related bonus will form part of the package, along with a pension contributions, and several other benefits.

Prior experience working with a development team is essential for this role.
