Bored of creating content for products that don’t inspire you? Imagine how creative you could be writing about ‘Prosecco Pong’, or writing trivia for the next hit game!

You could be joining the fun and innovative Talking Tables as their new Content Manager. As an an expert in all things related to content, brand consistency, and localization, you’ll be responsible for providing clear and consistent content for products and across all channels of communication.

You’ll be working on a large content database, ensuring it stays up to date, correct and organised, and will regularly research and write trivia content for new products. You’ll be working across a wide range of topics, so an interest in popular culture, the news, travel, sporting events and regularly attending exhibitions and events will help you out. You’ll be able to match up trivia to suitable games and audiences, and make sure the products are consistent in tone and branding.

You’ll collaborate with the Product Development and Marketing departments to help define both the brand story and the story as interpreted by the customer, and also manage a copywriting budget and freelance copywriters where necessary. It goes without saying that you’ll need to be highly skilled in written English, with a versatile writing style and the ability to adapt tone for different customers. You’ll need to be eloquent, grammatically correct, and able to write content for children.

You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Writing various copy options as required across all platforms including back of pack, website, sales material and emailers as necessary.
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content.
  • Mapping out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why.
  • Establishing work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.

From her kitchen table, Clare got to work designing, producing and selling her first products. They've gone from strength to strength, now having offices in London and Shanghai, selling over 1000 products all over the world.
