Job Description Amiqus have partnered with a hugely successful indie developer in Derby who are constantly evolving and thriving due to the ambition of its team.

They are now seeking a highly motivated Environment Artist who will be responsible for creating a multitude of in-game props materials and architectural assets that comply with the games artstyle and direction. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for creating visually appealing scenes while being aware of the optimisation and design features set in place for gameplay.

You will work closely with other Environment Artist Concept Artists and Creative Leads to produce a wide range of models and assets using the latest technologies. 


  • Modelling Texturing and lighting game assets within the game engine
  • Optimising game assets 
  • Working as part of a team to deliver visually stunning environments 
  • Required Skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Game Art or other relevant experience. 
  • A portfolio demonstrating previously created game assets and environments 
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop Substance Painter Zbrush and Maya or equivalent software packages
  • Expert levels of High and Low polygon modelling
  • Experience creating physically based Shaders 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in UE4 
  • Some concepting/designing knowledge  
  • An interest in architecture and level design 
  • Experience with SVN
