Job Description Amiqus have partnered with an exciting indie games developer based in Leeds in their search for a 3D Generalist to join their growing art team.

This studio have forged a fantastic reputation as developer of high quality VR games and their next project is their most ambitious to date. I’d like to speak with Artists with strong & varied 3D portfolios, your first set of responsibilities will focus on modelling assets for upcoming projects but you’ll be expected to get involved in everything from modelling, texturing and potentially some animation.

They’re looking for someone to lead by example and mentor some of the more junior artists so you’ll need to have worked in games before. You’ll be join the studio at a great time, they’re at the beginnings of this project so you’ll have the opportunity to bring your own creative flair to the game.

You’ll have full ownership of your work and take responsibility of the projects from start to finish.

  • A polished portfolio with demonstrable knowledge of a variety of artistic disciplines
  • Significant knowledge of the following software: Max/Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop etc
  • At least 1 shipped title for current consoles
  • Knowledge of Unity is desirable.
  • A keen interest in VR technology.

You’ll need to highly motivated to meet tight deadlines but if you’re looking for the opportunity work with cutting-edge VR tech within a superbly creative environment then this is the role for you!
