Job Description Amiqus have partnered with No Brakes Games, who are looking for a Senior Console Programmer to join them, as they embark on creating their next game.

Built on the phenomenal success of Human: Fall Flat, a new studio has been established in Tenerife where they are now looking for a Programmer with previous experience in optimization, submission and release processes across a variety of platforms. 

 Responsibilities: 
  • Porting to consoles: maintaining, updating and optimizing the game to release and run smoothly across different platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch. 
  • Leveraging all the platforms to deliver the best possible experiences to our players. 
  • Owning the build creation process and improving game performance for the different platform/hardware specifications. 
  • Overseeing the submission processes for each platform. 
  • Maintaining and extending Steam workshop. 
  • Any other content/game updates as required. 

Requirements: 
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience of developing and porting games for consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. 
  • Experience working with memory constrained environments. 
  • Maintaining deployment pipeline and timing for updates. 
  • Deep knowledge of the common requirements for each platform standards, including input system, localization, graphic benchmarks and any specific requirement for each vendor. 
  • Strong C# skills. 
  • Proven experience in Unity. 
  • Experience communicating with platform holders on complex issues. 
  • Fluent in English. 

Nice to have: 
  • Experience implementing Steam Workshop for a Unity game, updating content, bundles.
