Job Description Creative Assembly’s award-winning team behind Alien: Isolation are exploring new frontiers with a brand-new and exciting First Person Tactical Shooter IP.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Game Economy Designer to make their mark on our new undisclosed IP contributing to the creation of genre-defining games and working with some of the industry’s top developers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Game Economy Designer, you will work on the game’s progression systems, in-game economy and monetisation. 

You will create and maintain emotionally engaging progression systems filled with appealing reward items by closely working with Game Designers, Character Artists, UI Artists and other disciplines.

You will also define prices for the virtual goods and manage currencies in the in-game economy through well-argued, analytics-driven decisions.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Design engaging, rewarding and balanced progression systems
  • Design and maintain an in-game economy of virtual goods & currencies
  • Working with Data Analysts to identify retention problems and other potential improvements to the game experience
  • Design, plan and execute in-game events 
Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • Excellent Excel and Game Design Documentation skills
  • Experience in a Game Economy role on a live game
  • Experience working on game monetisation
  • Analytics- and KPI-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and verbal
  • Knowledge of User Research Methods and UX / UI best practices
  • Passion for first person shooters
  • Experience working on F2P games
  • Experience working with Unreal
  • Degree level academic background in related field
