Job Description Digerati Distribution and Marketing LLC is looking for a Video Game Community Manager experienced with an emphasis in online communities and/or the video game industry.

The right person will have a proven track record and be able to help create, build, and manage communities of upcoming Digerati published titles and portfolio of existing titles, represent at events and act as the voice of the company on social media. 

Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Act as the voice of the company and interact with gamers playing Digerati-marketed titles.
  • Help oversee and manage Digerati blog.
  • Work with Social, PR, and Marketing teams to help create newsletters for different user groups.
  • Help work withWork with the Social team as-needed to update or post to social channels as well as help create plans and strategies to increase user response and participation in Digerati social channels.
  • Monitor online activity and social channels for outreach opportunities
  • Must be Passionate about indie games. Understands and appreciates the unique challenges of working with indies and how to manage, guide and mentor them so that every ounce of their vision is maximized.
  • Excited about engaging with public relations, the media and external teams (QA, localization, etc) to ensure the game’s vision is understood and realised in the best possible way.
  • Enjoys attending industry conventions such as E3, GDC or PAX, meeting editors from major media outlets, and when needed being the game’s representative.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Community, Social, or Marketing roles in Gaming or Gaming-related field.
  • Experience of creating and managing communities on Discord.
  • Knowledge of gaming space, game models, and business models.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • Some experience in Photoshop or similar software to create images as needed for community postings.
  • Experience helping manage social networks.
  • Experience working and speaking at trade show events or conventions a plus.
