Job Description Due to the continued growth of our very successful EGX events brand, we have a requirement for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to work as part of the Gamer Events team to drive commercial success and exhibitor satisfaction across our range of shows.

The main focus of this role will be on working with the industry’s biggest games publishers, developers, media agencies and partners, to consolidate the EGX and EGX Rezzed events as the must-attend highlights of the UK games industry events calendar.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Working as part of a team to drive and deliver the full events commercial lifecycle in a highly client-facing role, from proactively seeking out new opportunities and fielding enquiries, to delivering an excellent exhibitor experience on site.
  • Managing existing and develop new commercial relationships with a face-to-face instinct and a personal approach in the way you work.
  • Dealing with some of the most high-profile clients and partners in the industry, as well as the full range of publishers, developers and agencies, retailers, suppliers, production and operations staff.
  • Meeting with, presenting to, and building rapport with a range of demanding and discerning exhibitors, agencies and event partners.
  • Supporting the growing number exhibitors at our events, meeting their needs in advance and responding to their expectations on site, while never compromising our level of service.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable ability to succeed in a client-facing, commercially-oriented events, media, account management and/or sales role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of games, entertainment, retail and technology clients, as well as agencies, operations, production and media partners.
  • Enthusiasm to call not just an existing set of customers but also to expand our business universe
  • A track record of cultivating relationships and contacts in any relevant industry, agency or media partnership spheres.
  • High degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Confidence to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally
  • Instinctive ability to manage and grow positive relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Unreasonably high attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of determination and drive.
  • Positive attitude and a team mentality

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Previous commercial experience in any relevant industry sector events role.
  • An interest in the technology, entertainment and lifestyle sector in general.
