Job Description Gamer Network has a requirement for an ambitious Account Executive to work as part of our Brighton-based Gamer Events team to drive commercial success and exhibitor satisfaction across our EGX events brand.

The role will be a junior to mid-level sales role working as part of a team across our range of clients, from some the industry’s biggest games publishers, developers, media agencies and partners, to developing relationships with indie developers and publishers who are an exciting demographic in the sector.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work as part of a team to support and deliver the full events lifecycle of commercial and client-facing tasks, from fielding initial enquiries to ultimately delivering an excellent exhibitor experience.
  • Manage existing and new commercial relationships via telephone, email and face to face.
  • Support the growing number of exhibitors at our events, meeting their needs in advance and responding to their expectations on site, while never compromising our level of service.
  • Deal with the full spectrum of clients and partners, from publishers, developers, agencies and retailers to suppliers, production, venue and operations staff.
  • Meeting with and presenting to a range of exhibitors, agencies and event partners.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable ability to succeed in a client-facing, commercially-oriented events, media, account management and/or sales role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of clients, as well as agencies, operations, production and media partners.
  • High degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Confidence to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally
  • Instinctive ability to manage and grow positive relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Unreasonably high attention to detail and levels of organisation.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of determination and drive.
  • Positive attitude and a team mentality

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Previous commercial experience in any relevant role, with knowledge of the sales cycle.
  • Passion and excitement about videogames and gaming culture.
  • An interest in the technology, entertainment and lifestyle sector in general.
