Job Description We are looking for a Graduate / Junior Frontend Developer to join our Product team and work in our collaborative and friendly environment alongside designers, user interface experts, programmers, and network engineers to improve the design and functionality of our editorial and event websites.

If you are starting out in your career and want your work to be seen by millions of users and have an enthusiasm for web design and development, this is the role for you.

You don't need to be an expert in web development as this is a junior role, but you should be able to tick a few of these boxes:
  • Great written communication
  • An understanding of usability, interaction design and information architecture
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience with responsive design
  • Awareness of LESS/SASS, or other CSS pre-processors
  • Experience with frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery, React, or Django)
  • Proficiency with design software (Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop)
  • A history of programming in PHP, Python, or similar languages

We have a growing in-house Product team that designs, builds, and maintains award-winning editorial websites like Eurogamer.net, which reaches tens of millions of people every month. We also provide the systems and tools that our editorial teams use to publish their stories.

Our websites are powered by modern programming languages and take into account the needs of users, editorial teams, advertisers, as well as technical considerations like SEO.

You should be willing to work from the Gamer Network office located in central Brighton, but we are also happy to consider remote workers in the UK who are able to travel to Brighton roughly once per month for in-person catch ups with the rest of the team.
