2nd Line Support Engineer (Windows) – Console Games Studio – South East
A South East based Games studio are currently looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to work with their existing IT team. The studio already has an IT Infrastructure in place, so your task will be to build on this, making amendments and improvements for the future. The studio has helped release some of the best indie games on the VR market and this position will offer you the chance to be part of this team.
Working closely with the Studio Heads and Technical Director, you will be tasked with the overall management of the studio’s systems, computers, hardware and general infrastructure. As one of the main points of contact, you’ll be on hand to provide internal support to users and help maintain/install packages, PC’s, setting up new users (onsite and remote) and other related aspects that may arise.
The ideal candidate will show initiative at the highest level and be curious about new technologies in Video games - this will make the role more rewarding for the successful individual.
Ideally a background in video games, entertainment, film or TV would be preferred, as you will have a bigger understanding of the infrastructure to support these applications. Alternatively, a degree in Computer Science (or similar IT Degree) and at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role outside the above industries would also be enough.

This is an onsite role, as support is required for both onsite/remote members of the team.
Requirements
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar IT Technician or 2nd Line Support role
- Up to date knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Windows 10/11
- Good knowledge of information security technologies
- Good communication skills
- Experience or passion to work in the games industry
- Basic Windows Server knowledge: DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, etc.
- A Degree in Computer Science (or similar IT related Degree)
