Associate Art Director PC/Console Games North-West England - REF 2895

Our client is a successful video games development studio based in North-West England, looking for a talented Associate Art Director to join their team working hybrid or based on-site. This role is offered fully remote if based in the UK. 

What you will be doing:

• Giving thorough feedback in a timely manner to multiple art disciplines including UI, Environment Art, Lighting, VFX, Characters and Concept Art.
• Interactions with external clients and finding ways to build and raise the profile of the growing art team.
• Driving the vision forward with opportunities to improve visual quality on all projects.
• Reviewing digital assets while giving the art team clear visual direction and guidance.
• Mentoring and supporting the growth of artists. 

Who you are:

• You will have good verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly skilled in software and development such as Unreal, Maya/3DS Max/Blender, ZBrush and Substance.
• A confident art leader with the ability to supervise and direct other artists and act an example.
• Have a good understanding of the fundamentals of colour/lighting theory and composition/staging techniques.
• A great art portfolio demonstrating proficient attention detail in aesthetic quality and visual excellence.
