Our client is a well-established PC/Console games studio based in Scotland, who are seeking an adept Lighting Artist for full-time position at their unique Edinburgh studio, specializing in crafting a world that elevates storytelling with colour and composition. What you will be doing:

• Develop and manage all lighting elements (Exterior, Interior, Props)
• Guide and nurture Associate Lighting Artists, overseeing and evaluating performance
• Master our workflows and tools, actively contributing to tool enhancement
• Balance visual quality with real-time game performance demands
• Align artistic style with the defined visual design, contributing to location references
• Collaborate with design to enhance missions, objectives, and game flow through lighting
• Complete lighting deliverables according to production schedule

Who you are:

• Industry expertise with shipped titles in Senior/Lead Lighting Artist roles
• An impressive portfolio showcasing your skills
• Solid technical understanding and quick adaptability to new In-Game lighting engines, programs, and systems
• Proficiency in real-time or offline lighting suites, including industry-standard tools for environment and character lighting
• Enthusiastic about learning new tools and keeping updated on lighting advancements and contributing to their advancement
• Strong self-motivation and autonomy, effective prioritization, and multitasking capabilities
• Proficiency in real-time lighting techniques, with consideration for offline techniques (plus)
