Hugecalf Studios are working on a futuristic, stylised car game called Turbo Golf Racing and need talented Environment Artists like YOU to bring their futuristic visions to life!
What you will do:
- Work closely with the Creative Director and other invested creatives to develop concepts for key locations and themes
- With input from the Creative Director and Leads, help to define the unique visual style for the game’s environment
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the game world, its inhabitants, and any limitations set forth by the team
- Create models and materials to be used within the game’s environment
- Build stunning environments in Unity URP
- Work with the technical artist to ensure that appropriate lighting solutions for the environments are used
- Work with the technical artist to ensure that all scenes are appropriately optimised
- Use the Hugecalf’s tools to assist with environment creation
- Follow and execute on briefs given to you by the team
- Actively participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions
- Complete quality work under established and agreed-upon deadlines
- Assist guiding and mentoring others in areas which you have more experience
- Learn new skills and experience from others within the team
Skills and Requirements:
- Be self-motivated and want to make a big difference in a small team
- Fantastic artistic vision and composition
- Experience working in stylised environments
- Environment concepting
- Environment modelling
- Material creation using Substance Designer, Zbrush and Shader Graph
- Strong in engine skills
- Experience in PBR lighting pipeline
- Highly organised
Bonus Points for any of the following:
- Experience with visual effects
- Render optimisation
- Key art/marketing asset creation
