About Hardball
We are a well-funded startup built around the Brighton-based makers of CSR Racing, Pure, Split Second, and most recently LEGO Star Wars Battles on Apple Arcade. The core team has been working together for over fifteen years in one guise or another on console, PC and mobile free-to-play. It’s a strong foundation on which to build and we’d love to welcome you on board for the next stage of our journey.
We make bombastic, larger-than-life, high-action videogames for mass market audiences. We always put the fun first. Multiplayer, social, stream-able and multiplatform cross-play.
Our goal is to create world-beating interactive entertainment that allows people to play together in innovative and satisfying new ways. With creative freedom and an independent spirit, we celebrate talent and aspire to offer a meritocracy where you’ll be appreciated, supported and stretched.
We believe that to make fun games, we have to have fun making them together. We do this in a supportive, collaborative environment where we encourage everyone to input into the design process.
Life at Hardball
We worked through the pandemic and learned to operate from home. We also appreciate that many people value face-to-face interactions and a workspace away from home. We offer complete flexibility to our employees. We have an office and will offer regular work and social events there. So whether you choose to be a digital nomad, a home worker or to come into the office regularly, you’ll always have a friendly base to return to should the need arise.
Brighton is a great place to live and work. It’s nestled between the sea and the beautiful South Downs national park. It has a vibrant nightlife with plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. There are great city-wide festivals for music, culture, the arts and comedy each year. There is a real buzz about the place. If that ever becomes overwhelming, you can hang out on the beach, swim in the sea or explore the countryside within a mile or two of the town centre.
We commit to providing a professional and inclusive working environment and a positive atmosphere. We offer a good salary, bonus, pension and training opportunities but the main thing is that we offer a great home for creative talent.
