Game Designer - Console/PC - Adventure

Who are we looking for? 

A game designer who will conceptualize, design and participate in the implementation of core game mechanics for Nightscape. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small project-oriented development team to build games for PC and consoles. 



$35,000 - $40,000 depending on experience level


We encourage autonomy, professional agility and attention to detail. Your main tasks will include but not be limited to: 

  • Design and balance game mechanics 
  • Design and balance game levels 
  • Build, design and help implement engaging core and meta loops to engage players 
  • Communication of game design with clear and concise documentation 
  • Comfortable with expanding on design briefs through detailed design specification documents 
  • Deliver clear and concise engineering-ready product specs 
  • Be a key player in contributing to roadmap planning 
  • Break down multifaceted development features into estimated sprint plans to guide  our product from creation to launch 


  • 4 years of experience at least working in game development 
  • A varied portfolio showcasing samples of core game mechanics 
  • Ability to create interaction flow wireframes based on high-level product spec 
  • Strong analytical systems design skills 
  • Ability to create functional prototypes to test design ideas 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Competency in C# scripting in Unity 


Desired Profile 

  • Comfortable prototyping and working with an iterative development process
  • A pro-active hands-on approach, with a drive to get fun into the game
  • Passion for video games 
  • Be results oriented and have the ability to work under pressure 
  • Most importantly: comfortable working collaboratively with a strong team spirit in mind 


  • 4-6 months part time remote working with possible infrequent physical meetings at certain points in time (travel and lodging at our expense naturally)
  • Full time role potential open conditional on moving to production phase
