Game Director – Console/PC Projects – Remote Working

A Liverpool based Games studio are currently looking for a Game Director to work on a range of new titles on Console and PC platforms. The Studio Founders are renowned in the Industry for creating fun, easy to play / hard to master console classics. The studio is now working on a range of IP’s in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the industry, as well as working on their own titles.

You will be working hand in hand with the Co-Founders, outlining new ideas for the games, such as prototyping, mechanic design, core game design and interactive narration for the players – you must also bring FUN to the games! You will be up to date with present Console/PC trends and enjoy playing and making games. The ideal candidate will understand the Console/PC market and have good knowledge of what works and what doesn’t.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your design – the design is at the heart of all their games so it’s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics.

As a key member of the team, you will also get involved with core design principles and be able to implement new ideas on large-scale projects. You’ll also help recruit, mentor and develop designers for the team as well.

There is a competitive salary on offer, including exclusive studio benefits, flexible working hours, pension and a generous holiday allowance. This role is 100% remote working (indefinitely), however you must be based in the UK at present.

  • Held either Senior or Lead titles in the past
  • A great knowledge of games and an excellent understanding of what makes them work
