Amiqus have partnered with one of the world’s leading virtual motorsport and racing entertainment companies, with offices around the world.
They have shaped some of your favourite racing games from the last 20 years on console, PC and mobile, and are embarking on an ambitious journey to reshape the industry - to unite racing communities, esports, games, content, ideas, tools and chat all in one place.
They are now looking for an accomplished Lead Artist, to drive and motivate a team of talented Principal and Senior 3D Artists, in delivering the most awe-inspiring visuals found in racing games.
In this position you will get the opportunity to leave your thumbprint on a range of new projects, overseeing asset benchmarks, creating new workflows, and documenting the process from concept to completion, working closely with the Director of Art/Design, Art production and OS manager to ensure that the product vision is delivered.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing the theme and tone for one of their titles, in accordance with the visual and game pillars.
- Collaborating with engineering and technical art to establish and drive the technical and aesthetic guidelines for art in the game.
- Participating in the scheduling for this part of the project and maintaining planning foresight
- Maintaining effective informational flow to ensure the team members are aligned with the project objectives
- Providing regular review and feedback on the teams work
- Encouraging creativity and participation from all team members
Ideally we would love to see:
- AAA shipped titles or experience in a Senior Art position
- Experience in team leadership and management of internal and external pipelines
- Exceptional knowledge of 3D software, such as Maya or 3dsmax and Zbrush
- Excellent knowledge in substance suite programs, such as designer, painter, and source
- Have a strong background and understanding in console interface design, flow, and usability.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in using games engines such as Unreal.
- Strong art foundations, with excellent knowledge of lighting, colour, and form
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to inspire others
