Lead Artist – 3D Open World – Remote Working

We have partnered with an exciting games studio based in London, who require a Lead Artist to help build a new Open World game from scratch, whilst also building and heading up the Art team. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry. 

This Lead Artist will work very closely with the Co-Founders of the studio and manage a small team of Artists. You will be self-organised and be able to juggle managing a small team, while assisting with the grading of work and building your own 3D assets to go into the world.

The Game they’re building is still early in development, so there will be plenty to model and design, the studio is looking for this artist to have loads of imagination in an ever-changing virtual world, with customisation at the core of everything.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your Art in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed, and everyone has an input on the project.

This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or a split/hybrid work pattern in their London offices, if you prefer some hybrid working. You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the remote working option.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years’ experience as an Artist in the games industry
  • Experience as a Senior or Lead Artist 
  • Published titles on Console, PC or Mobile Platforms
  • Unreal 4 experience
  • A portfolio containing a variety of assets and environments (photorealistic preferred)
