Lead Artist – PC/Console Studio – Germany

Lead Artist – PC/Console Studio – Germany

Amiqus have partnered with an exciting Games Studio based in Germany who are known for setting the quality bar on console and PC titles. They are currently going through a period of expansion and require a Lead Artist to work on a new open world AAA RPG title, whilst leading/mentoring a team in the process.

This Lead Artist will work very closely with the Art Director and manage a team of multidisciplined Artists. You will be self-organised and be able to juggle mentoring/managing the team, assisting with the grading of the teams output and building your own 3D assets to go into the game, if you still enjoy being hands on!

The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on a brand-new project currently in development. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on a variety of models from hard surface modelling, environments and assets. The more generalist you are, the better! If you are more specialist, we’d still be interested in hearing from you.

In return the studio can offer a competitive salary, free parking, daily fresh food and drink. Also, the chance to work with games industry veterans who have a great track record of delivering high profile successful projects.

We’re open to applications from either Lead Artists who prefer to still model and create or Lead Artists who prefer more of a managerial role. This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site when it’s safe to do so.

  • At least 4 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Experience of shipping console or PC titles
  • Excellent communication skills as a leader and mentor
  • Experience with Photoshop and either 3DS Max or Maya
  • A portfolio demonstrating your art experience

The studio can offer perks such as flexible core hours, subsidised gym memberships, free German lessons, contribution to childcare costs, free food, pension and covered relocation costs (including legal support).
