We're working with a brand new start-up studio, they've recently hired all their Director level positions and have secured some of the best talent in Mobile Game Development. Their mission is to create innovate and fun, F2P, Games whilst working wholly remote. They've already secured investment for growth and are currently looking to develop to different types of Games. Firstly they want to make super casual, pick up and play games with familiar mechanics. Secondly they want to develop titles which although have a well-known core loop, are supported by an in-depth narrative based meta game.
Their Creative Director is looking for a Lead Designer to be her 2nd in command, this role would see you taking responsibility for implementing the gameplay mechanics and core monetisation features for the games. Ideally you'll know how to balance soft and hard currencies whilst preserving what makes the game 'fun' to play. They're in really early stages of production, so you will spend a lot of time prototyping and iterating.
Ideally we'd like to see:
- You've recently shipped Free2play mobile games
- Indepth understanding of PVP and PVE
- Game Economy and Monetisation features are second nature to you
- Genuine passion for games
- Collaborative communication style
- Ability and desire to work fully remotely (UK Based)
This is a brand new role, for a brand new studio on a brand new game. Such a rare opportunity to have such vast input on creative direction from such an early stage. Beyond the game, you'll also be recruiting for your team. There are some great career opportunities in the medium-long term.
Salary between £60,000-£70,000 plus benefits.
