Lead Game Designer - London

" Ref - 5294100. Are you an experienced Lead Game Designer who believes in responsible, world-changing games? This studio’s mission is to make games that are good for the planet. In this role, you'll take on project leadership responsibilities, tackling production and creative challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay updated on player trends and integrate them when relevant.

• Plan, oversee, and guide the work of Game Designers in your team.

• Ensure the team creates innovative gameplay aligned with the game's vision.

• Develop characters, rules, settings, and stories for new games.

• Independently manage the creative ideation process, from concept to rapid prototyping.

• Define Game Design Documents (GDD) for various game systems and maintain detailed documentation.

• Review game features to ensure they align with the GDD and provide an enjoyable experience.

• Continuously iterate based on user feedback.

• Collaborate closely with artists, developers, and team members.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Expertise in top performing Mobile and Free-to-Play (F2P) gaming with multiple shipped titles.

• Full development experience, from concept to launch and LiveOps.

• Minimum 6 years of game design experience.

• A deep understanding of the mobile gaming industry, market trends, and target audiences.

• Proficiency in driving game design using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Strong knowledge of Game Design principles.

• Experience in prototyping and scripting languages.

• Exceptional communication skills for clear and concise documentation and feedback.

• Attention to detail, both from technical and artistic perspectives.

• Collaborative leadership style.

 

This role is for UK Citizens to work Hybrid in London.

Prior experience in these areas would be desirable but the studio really values talent and passion above all else!
