We have partnered with an exciting games studio based in the South East, who require a Lead Technical Animator to help work on a range of action fuelled titles, some of which have earned high praise and acclaim. The Studio were formed by a range of key figures in the games industry and over the years have built an experienced AAA quality team.

As the Lead Technical Animator, you will be working closely with the art, design and tech teams to create the best in-game animation. You’ll be an expert of skinning and rigging, whether this be character, creatures or vehicles. Also help develop and maintain their animation, workflows, tools, systems and pipelines.

This role can offer this Lead Technical Animator a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team, where they can get involved with the concept phases and really make a difference on the final output. All whilst managing, mentoring and leading a small team in the process.

This role can be 100% remote working (indefinitely) from anywhere in the UK, however you must be available onsite for critical Animation shoots. If remote working isn’t for you, the role can also offer a hybrid work model if you prefer working in-house some days.


  • Past Technical Animation experience in the games industry
  • Good understanding of Unity or Unreal
  • Experience with any of the following - Max, Maya or Motion Builder  
  • Knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics
  • Good understanding of skinning and rigging assets
  • Experience of Motion Capture
  • Knowledge of tools such as MEL/Python/PyMel or similar
  • Blender experience is a plus!
