Lead Texture Artist- New Project – 100% Remote Working

A North East based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Texture Artist to join their growing team. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

As the Lead Texture Artist, you will work on a new title, where you’ll be helping create realistic textures for a range of assets, including both buildings and outdoor environments. The studio strives for high quality with every project they create and they’re aiming to achieve high-end graphics, which you will have a hand in managing and improving. 

The studio has a long-standing history in creating some of the best games on the market on console platforms. This role will have you working closely with the management team and will get involved with various aspects of development, which includes liaising with other department leads and mentoring, motivating and leading your own team.

This role can be fully remote working (you must be in the UK already). The studio can also Sponsor work visas and offer relocation assistance (including help with schools), for those outside of the UK.

Requirements

  • Shipped a title as a Texture Artist
  • Realistic portfolio of Textures/Materials
  • Experience of working with external outsourcers
  • Experience with any of the following of Maya, 3DS Max, Blender or similar tools
  • Understanding of Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter and Zbrush
  • Past lead or mentoring experience
