Lead Unity Developer – New Console/PC Project – 100% Remote Working

A Guildford based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Unity Developer to help work on a new title on both Console/PC Platforms. The studio has just shipped their first game which was greatly received and earned an 80+ Metacritic and several 10/10 reviews.

The studio is looking for this person to lead a small team of 2, whilst working closely with the Co-Founders on generating slick gameplay mechanics for this new title. The studios first title was extremely unique with whacky gameplay, which gave the user multiple possibilities. The team are looking to inject this charm on their future titles.

This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a generalist programmer who enjoys working in a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your code in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed, and everyone has an input on the project

This role can be either fully remote working (you must be in the UK already) or a hybrid model if you prefer some days onsite.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Released at least 1 title
  • Strong experience with Unity and C#
  • Good initiative and the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with multiple disciplines of programming such as gameplay, UI, tools etc
  • Experience with mentoring/leading junior coders

The studio offers an unlimited holiday allowance, Mental Health days, Pension and a companywide bonus scheme.
