Marketing & Content Coordinator - ReedPop

MCM Comic Con and EGX are event brands synonymous with the most influential pop culture experiences in the UK!

As our Marketing & Content Coordinator, you’ll be managing the success and growth of these incredible events as well as making hundreds of thousands of fans very happy. What could be cooler than that?

This role is perfect for a hard-working, ambitious and talented individual with experience in consumer events and an ability to manage multiple challenges as well as demanding stake holders in a fast-paced but rewarding work environment. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented hustler that is willing to be completely immersed in the pop culture industry in order to identify trends that will drive ticket sales, sponsorship opportunities, media exposure and exciting new experiences for our fans.

The MCM and EGX Marketing and Content Coordinator will collaborate daily with the Marketing Managers to execute the overall marketing and publicity plans in order to create awareness in the market and drive attendance for the shows. They will also support the Content group in organizing and promoting special guests, panels and experiences. Our ideal candidate would be a positive, dynamic marketer with a true love for brand storytelling and is driven to always make their clients and customers happy. You’ll have the opportunity to work on marketing plans that cover digital, traditional, influencer, guerrilla and ‘word of mouth’ marketing for highly engaged audiences. You will also work on the design and production process for a variety of projects including digital marketing campaigns, OOH advertising, social media posts, newsletter creation and deployment for email campaigns, infographics and so much more. We are looking for a talented marketer who is enthusiastic about the brands we work with and excited about creating once in a lifetime experiences for their audiences.


· Work with marketing, event and content leadership to execute the marketing and content strategy for our events

· Track and measure key metrics (ROI and KPIs) of all marketing initiatives and proactively keep Marketing and Event leadership informed of status and deliverables

· Develop and execute a comprehensive organic social media plan focused on driving high levels of customer engagement

· Regularly update copy, images, and announcements on the event websites and maintain, update, and monitor social media accounts

· Responsible for writing, designing, deploying, and tracking weekly e-mail newsletters

· Develop marketing partnerships in the local markets and surrounding markets in order to drive awareness and ticket sales

· Assist with mobile app development, updates, and marketing

· Collaborate with outside agency partners as needed

· Ensure all messaging and imagery represents our portfolio of shows and Reedpop positively and authentically

· Create and cultivate a "one team" approach through collaboration with event management, sales, registration, operations, creative and our brand partners

· Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines


· Demonstrable experience marketing consumer products, event marketing or relevant and related experience required.

· Degree in Marketing or related field would be prefered, but not essential.

· Excellent copywriting, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Must be comfortable executing marketing plans for B2C audiences with experience in digital marketing, consumer insights, social media platforms, and/or marketing analytics.

· Professional level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok).

· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) preferred.

· Ability to travel 6-8 times per year domestically (and possibly internationally)

· Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for pop culture, fan communities and the brands we work with

· Ability to work flexibly on different events. Our marketing team is very collaborative, so you may be asked to work on additional ReedPop events as bandwidth allows to assist those shows throughout the year.

· Resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals.

· Able to adjust and thrive within a fast-paced work environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules.

· Must be highly collaborative with a “We” not “Me” mentality. Be flexible in your viewpoints, always looking for the best ideas and ready to be an advocate for ideas other than your own.

· Secure enough in yourself to be able to ask for help, say “I don’t know” and always learn from your mistakes.

· Experience and knowledge of digital marketing and advertising, including but not limited to social media, email, display, and search advertising is a bonus.
