ReedPop produces some of the biggest pop culture events in the world and the Merchandise Coordinator plays an important role in bringing those experiences to life.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, creative, customer service oriented person for an opportunity help create awesome, exclusive merchandise for passionate fans all over the world!
As our Merchandise Coordinator, you will support the development and execution of merchandise plans for our events, as well the merchandise expansion of our own editorial brands. This role is an exciting opportunity to drive a growth area of the business, working with several internal teams and managing external agencies and vendors.
The role includes detail-oriented work on many “behind the scenes” aspects of the merchandise development process, including: submitting and ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner, liaising with finance on royalty reports and post-show reporting, keeping track of individual product development cycles, keeping records of all warehouse inventory and uploading new products to our e-commerce platforms.
But it’s not all administrative work: you will have the opportunity to help with the creative process as well – working collectively with the broader Merchandise team to determine the direction of various product assortments for the entire portoflio, and to drive the sourcing and purchasing of product for your projects, throughout the development process. In the end, you'll be a key player in bringing exceptional and desirable products to market, delivering on ReedPop’s ambition to improve pre-sale, on-site sales and direct-to-customer opportunities.
And of course, a key part of the Merchandise Coordinator’s role is to deliver world class customer service for all of our partners and customers; a true passion for toys, collectibles, clothing and swag, especially in the context of fandoms and pop culture, will come in very handy in this role!
This Merchandise Coordinator role will be invovled creatively in all ReedPop projects to an extent, with the day-to-day focus being on servicing certain parts of our portfolio, such any of C2E2, ECCC, New York Comic Con, MagicCon, Marvel merchandise, EGX, MCM, Oxventure/Outside XBox, etc.
Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the main point of contact with key ReedPop vendors for your line(s) of business, including submitting concepts, inspiration and creative ideas – developed in conjunction with the larger merchadnise team - in order to serve the creation of merchandise assortments.

Oversee the logistics of shipping products into and out of convention and fulfilment centers worldwide, in a timely and cost-effective manner

Manage all vendor invoices and process payments in a timely matter

Provide regular sales reports with analysis on sales performances and trends, adjusting our product offering accordingly based on pre-defined KPIs.

Tracking performance versus objectives for each event or site.

Serve as the ReedPop merchandise customer service champion and as the liase with our internal Customer Service department for all merchandise related issues.

Proactively work to ensure that all customer service issues related for merchandise are resolved in a timely manner, handled with a cheerful personality and that the solutions are always in the best interest of our fans.

Function as the main point of contact for 3rd party fulfilment center, including but not limited to placing orders and updating inventory.

When applicable, manage the submission process for all SKUs with licensing partners (i.e. Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, CBS etc.), including keeping track of the various product development phases and ensuring that products comply with all applicable safety standards.

Ensure that multiple ecommerce portals are always up to date and that products are represented accurately

Contribute to brainstorming and ideation sessions for new product concepts and new form factors that will appeal to our fans

Contribute to all licensed product initiatives, including identifying and developing relationships with licensors whose properties appeal to ReedPop fans

Contribute to the strategic and creative development of all marketing materials and merchandise designs for ReedPop

Domestic and possibly international travel is required. Approximately 6-8 times per year, including set-up and tear-down days on your assigned events.
Required Skills and Experience

Demonstrable merchandising, customer service, fashion, retail and/or marketing experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Degree in a relevant field, but can also be equivalent work experience.

Professional level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Any knowledge or previous experience within the pop culture industry would be nice, but it is not at all essential.
