OPMs client is a successful UK independent games developer is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join development on their latest unannounced AAA title heading to current gen and next-gen platforms.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the projects rendering needs are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong professional experience with C++
- Excellent use of continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent initiative, self-motivation, and organisational skills
- Able to collaborate productively within larger multi-disciplined project team environments, communicating ideas and issues clearly
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and improve test automation solutions for the games teams
- Test for engine correctness (eg. make sure rendering test scenes don’t change from one day to the next)
- Creating high quality, flexible, maintainable code
- Analyse, communicate and interpret script results
- Improve continuous integration processes (eg. improving the use of Jenkins)
- Research new tools, techniques and processes and how they can benefit
DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Lua, Python
- Good understanding of games development processes
