REMOTE Senior Automation Engineer – Independent UK Games Developer/Publisher

OPMs client is a successful UK independent games developer is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join development on their latest unannounced AAA title heading to current gen and next-gen platforms.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the projects rendering needs are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Strong professional experience with C++
  • Excellent use of continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent initiative, self-motivation, and organisational skills
  • Able to collaborate productively within larger multi-disciplined project team environments, communicating ideas and issues clearly


  • Develop and improve test automation solutions for the games teams
  • Test for engine correctness (eg. make sure rendering test scenes don’t change from one day to the next)
  • Creating high quality, flexible, maintainable code
  • Analyse, communicate and interpret script results
  • Improve continuous integration processes (eg. improving the use of Jenkins)
  • Research new tools, techniques and processes and how they can benefit

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Lua, Python
  • Good understanding of games development processes
