Character Rigger – REMOTE OR Montreal, Canada – Adventure Game

This successful independent video games developer has bought together a diverse team of daring creators, making unique experiences for its players through unique worlds. They are currently seeking an experienced Rigger to join their passionate team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for skinning characters and objects, as well as creating and maintaining control rigs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in games, film or commercial animations as a rigger or skinner.
  • Experienced with Maya, including MEL and or Python scripting.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4.
  • Basic knowledge of animation principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of video game animation systems, graphs, etc.
  • Experienced with MotionBuilder.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Skinning models in Maya.
  • Creating animatable assets for gameplay integration.
  • Creating animation rigs for characters and complex objects.
  • Troubleshooting existing skinning and rigs.
  • Authoring scripts and tools to assist animators.
  • Closely coordinating with external and internal artists and modelers.
