Senior External Producer, opportunity to join one of the world’s leading developers and publishers focused on VR games.

Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the studio.

Their projects continue to push forward the boundaries of VR and they’re looking for talented people to help them turn them into a reality. Their talented studio now has over 100 people and has been assembled from world-leading games developers and publishers.

THE ROLE

They’re looking for a Senior Producer to join their 3rd Party Publishing team. You will be an organizer and responsible for proactively assisting and coordinating external development teams who are contracted to the studio. The Senior Producer coordinates and prioritises the day-to-day activities of 3rd party developers and internal cross-discipline staff at every stage of a title(s) development. You will report to the Head of 3rd Party Publishing.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of external 3rd party game development projects from initial concept through to final publication

Development, ongoing tracking and reporting of external development to key stakeholders, including their VP of Publishing, Head of 3rd Party Publishing and VP of Business Development, with a particular emphasis on overall projects’ progress, budgets, projects’ issues & risks and potential mitigation solutions

Assist Head of 3rd Party Publishing with the creation and maintenance of a strategic capacity roadmap for the 3rd Party Publishing.

Ensuring that strong communication is maintained between the studio, 3rd party developers and 3rd party platform holders via both personal and electronic methods including the secure transfer of key deliverables

Key liaison between external Development Team(s), Brand, PR, and Marketing teams, 3rd Party platform holders and 3rd party service providers (QA, Localisation etc.)

Helping external development teams to establish and maintain realistic project scope and ensuring that they do not suffer from ‘feature-creep’

Ensuring that titles come in on budget and achieve the high-quality standards required

Performing and refining good project management techniques to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of development milestones

Proactively identify, report, and assist in unblocking any day-to-day issues arising within external development to keep production efficient and operational

Conduct ongoing risk analysis on all external projects and provide mitigation solutions to all stakeholders

Review all milestone deliverables and provide timely feedback to 3rd parties

Ensure that games can meet the technical requirements of 3rd party platform holders

Evaluate internal procedures, and processes and constructively work with the team to find solutions

Inputting into the development roadmap, keeping all studios and stakeholders aware of developments throughout the project lifetime (including post-launch and service support)

Management, organisation, mentoring and coaching of other members of the external production team

Requirements

Essential capabilities

Experience producing games on other platforms including some combination of console, online and social games from concept through first release and ongoing product updates.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including the details of production such as design, asset and build pipeline, schedules, budget, and quality assurance.

Must have successfully developed and managed people, resources and schedules

Be highly organised, and experienced in running multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines.

Strong track record of managing teams with the successful production of impactful customer-facing games.

Have a can-do attitude, a person that is a doer and not afraid to ‘muck in’.

Engaging and convincing personality with excellent communication skills.

You will have experience having worked with both internal and external development team(s).
