Senior Games Programmer

Pocket Sized Hands are looking for a Senior Games Programmer to work alongside our growing team to help deliver amazing titles with world renowned IPs such as Rick and Morty, and Oddworld. In joining Pocket Sized Hands, you will be joining a team of brilliant, boundary-pushing innovative Game Developers. We believe in a creative process of sharing new ideas, learning and developing new skills through a continual improvement mindset, all while working on some sensational projects targeting a variety of platforms including PC, Console, and VR. 

About the Role 

As a Senior Games Programmer at Pocket Sized Hands, you will drive projects forward with a strong depth and breadth of knowledge and experience. As well as an active contribution to projects, your expertise will assist in elevating and guiding other team members confidently through the development process of titles whilst navigating through critical technical decisions, proactively prioritizing and planning project work, and effectively managing project risks. 


  • Taking responsibility of the execution of large areas of programming work across projects. 

  • Shaping and planning programming work on projects. 

  • Informed and clear communication around project status and risks. 

  • Collaborating effectively with other disciplines including production to inform timelines. 

  • Knowledge sharing and helping to coach team members including regular peer reviews, giving and receiving feedback on work 


  • Strong and in-depth working knowledge and have shipped products using Unreal Engine and/or Unity. 

  • Keen eye for detail and strong commitment to upholding quality standards. 

  • Advanced knowledge of programming principles to aid in architecting codebases in a robust and maintainable fashion. 

  • Pragmatic and confident communication skills. 

  • You can demonstrate previously completed work where you played a role in creating solid gameplay with a polished user experience in a shipped product.
