Join a PC/Console game development company known for their innovative and socially emergent online games based in Berlin. They are seeking a talented Senior Engineer to contribute to the success of their games. In this role, you will build engaging gameplay systems, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, ensure secure game logic, and mentor junior engineers.  

What you will be doing: 

• Build engaging gameplay systems such as leaderboards, live events, Season pass, level progression, crafting, shops, and in-app purchases. 

• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, UI/UX, and other disciplines to create intuitive and fun features. 

• Ensure game logic is secure and validated on the backend to prevent cheating and exploits. 

• Write technical specifications and collaborate on game design documents to ensure technical feasibility. 

• Write clean and maintainable code and Blueprints for both client and backend systems. 

• Mentor junior and regular engineers, conduct technical interviews, and take ownership of significant aspects of gameplay systems. 

What we need from you: 

• 4+ Years of experience working on games, on PC, mobile and/or console platforms. 

• Fluent in C++, C# (or similar languages) and Blueprint scripting. 

• Experience building game UI using Unreal widgets, UMG and Blueprints. 

• Experience working with a game backend in a serverless architecture. 

• Experience working with Unreal Engine 4.
