Background
We are a tight-knit team, and are developing A Township Tale full time. A Township Tale is the industry leading VR RPG, which has the second largest Discord community. We’ve launched on Quest on July 15, reaching #1 in Oculus Store charts. With hundreds of thousands of users, we are looking to scale the team to expand A Township Tale for the future. We need an experienced Recruiter to source the best game development talent and reach our growth goals.

Alta is a fully remote Virtual Reality startup that is based in Sydney, Australia. Since 2016 we have worked on the multiplayer game A Township Tale and have grown from the 3 founding members to over two dozen passionate developers. With a focus on growing A Township Tale, we are looking to scale massively in the coming months. We are a very tight-knit team, and finding new members who are a great fit is just as important to us as finding the right skillset.
The Role
The ideal candidate will be able to handle the dynamic nature of a high-growth technology company, and have creativity around how/where to source strong game development talent.

- Engage and hire the best talent: You’ll source, recruit, and hire the absolute best talent for our opportunities
- Work closely with department leads to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position
- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
- Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open up
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications
- Follow up on interview process status and update records
- Make impactful hiring decisions based on evidence and pursue what is universally best
Requirements
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high growth environment
- Experience building or re-building a recruiting function from the ground up
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting for different functions within an organization
- Solid understanding of industry trends and best practices
- Strategically utilize social media, networks, blogs and research methods to identify & engage top talent.
- Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations

- Previous experience with a high-growth video game company
- Passion for RPGs and Virtual Reality
