Our client is looking for a Technical Artist who understands animation production and has a genuine interest in spearheading the creation of the tools and pipeline for the animation teams.
You will be working alongside a talented art team driving forwards cutting-edge visuals, providing technical guidance and defining art workflow and pipelines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a Technical Artist / Animation role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Motion Builder and Maya.
- Strong Python / Mel programming/scripting experience.
- Knowledge of building human, facial, vehicles and prop rigging.
- Knowledge of cloth simulation software such as nCloth.
- Understanding of 3D math functions.
- Experience in game development working with the animation team.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop tools and technical support for the animation teams.
- Recognise pipeline issues and present solutions.
- Develop tools and scripts for third party software.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Work along side Lead Animators, Cinematic Directors and programming teams to bridge needs and requirements.
