Technical Artist – New VR Project – 100% Remote Working
Amiqus have partnered with an exciting studio based in the South East, who are looking to hire a Technical Artist to join their growing team. The studio has helped release some of the best indie games on the VR market and this position will offer you the chance to work on a brand-new project still very early in development. The studio was formed by veterans from the video games industry, who have come from a long-standing AAA console development background.
As the Technical Artist, you will collaborate with the current Art Director to help bridge the gap between artists and engineers, ensuring an efficient art pipeline and optimised games. Also develop tools to help streamline their development processes and create shaders.
The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on a brand-new game, overseeing features from concept to completion. This is a small team so there will be plenty for you to own going forward.

This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or a split/hybrid work pattern. You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the 100% remote working option.
- Experience as a Technical Artist in the Games or VR industry
- Released projects on Console, PC or VR
- The team use Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, Zbrush and Photoshop but are open to those who have used other stacks
- Working knowledge of Unreal would be a bonus!
