Technical Designer – Console/PC Projects – Remote Working
A Liverpool based Games studio are currently looking for a Technical Designer to work on a range of new titles on Console and PC platforms. The Studio Founders are renowned in the Industry for creating fun, easy to play / hard to master console classics. The studio is now working on a range of IP’s in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the industry.
As the Technical Designer, you will be outlining new ideas for the titles, such as prototyping, scripting and implementing top notch game mechanics and systems, working closely with Gameplay Programmers and Animators to ensure the game flows. You’ll work very closely with the technical features the game has to offer, which includes balancing and mission/narrative design to ensure a realistic experience.
This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your design – the design is at the heart of all their games so it’s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics.

This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or a split/hybrid work pattern. You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the 100% remote working option.
- At least 1 Years’ experience in a Game Design position
- Shipped at least one title on Console or PC platforms
- High energy and a passionate designer
- Good technical knowledge of Python, LUA or other similar scripting language
- Experience with Unity or Unreal (preferred)
