"To apply: Ref - 5250700. We are looking for talented Terrain/Landscape Artists across all levels to join a fantastic Nottingham-based Studio working on a loved classic game title.
This role is fully onsite in Nottingham.
Responsibilities
All environment landscape/terrain artists must have a keen eye for landscapes, cityscapes, geography and composition of props.
They should also have basic technical skills to understand how artwork is optimised to run in a real-time 3D environment/game engine. This includes understanding texel density, optimised UV layouts and UDIM's, Level of detail (LOD's and HLOD's), understanding PBR materials and textures and also be able to create solid collision geometry.
Candidates should also demonstrate good knowledge/practice of sculpting and texture painting.
Requirements
You should have experience using the terrain tools within game engines such as Unreal Engine / Unity.
You should be familiar with digital content creation tools such as Blender (preferred) / Maya / 3DS Max.
You should have knowledge of other tools such as ZBrush and Substance Designer.
Beneficial Extras:
Knowledge of tools such as World Machine and Houdini is an advantage but not essential.
Experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints is also a plus.
