A North East based Games studio are currently looking for a Tools Programmer to join their growing team. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

They are looking for this individual to have high energy and passion for video games and constantly come up with new and innovative ideas to keep their player base engaged. As the Tools Programmer you will collaborate with code, design, writing and art teams, to define the tools strategies of the studio. The studio is working on a new unique project, which they’re aiming to dominate its genre and create its own gameplay style in the process. The role will allow you to be hands-on, with the chance to be creative with the tools you develop for the team.

The studio has a long-standing history with creating some of the best games on the market on console platforms. This role will have you working closely with the management team and will get involved with various aspects of development, which includes liaising with other department leads and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Software development industry
  • Strong focus on Web Technologies
  • Experience with Vue 3 or similar frameworks such as React
  • Experience with Google Firebase is a strong plus
  • Passion for exploring and learning Firebase technologies is highly desirable
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS is a bonus!
  • An interest to work in the games industry is a must!
