UI Artist Console Games Studio NW England – REF 2729

Our client is a co-development studio working with some of the biggest AAA games studios in the world based in the NW of England. They are now looking for a talented UI Artist to join their team and help work on their latest exciting projects. This role is offered remote only if based in the UK or Ireland.

What you will be doing:

  • Be responsible for creating high quality 2D UI graphical artwork, from prototype through to implementation in game
  • Work with the Art Director, ensuring consistency between initial vision and final assets
  • Mentor junior members of the UI Artist team
  • Work across multi-disciplinary teams to establish UI documents, concepts, and implementation
  • In collaboration with other departments, create beautiful icons, menus, buttons, and front-end HUD graphics
  • Provide and be able to receive constructive feedback
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements

Who you are:

  • Industry Experience in a UI Artist role or similar
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Excellent graphical artistic ability, with clear understanding of colour theory, proportion, and use of negative space
  • Good understanding of tools used in game development
  • Experienced using current game editors such as Unreal or Unity
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Great interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Up to date with latest UI/UX trends
