VFX & Lighting Artist

We're partnered with one of Europe's leading VR Developers. They've recently announced the opening of two new UK based studios - one of which is 100% totally remote. It's this studio that we're working with to help them find a VFX & Lighting Artist.

This role will see you work within the Art team on an unannoucned Sci-Fi VR title, originally being developed for Quest and then other platforms. This role would really suit someone with a few years experience who is seeking a new challenge. The role will see you working on Character, Environment and user effects. They're using UE4, Maya, Substance, Photoshop and Z brush - so any familiarity with those would be helpful, but if not - don't let that put you off!

The game is super early in development so you'll have a real chance to flex your creative muscle and have real impact on the end visual look and feel of this game.

To be considered, we'd ideally like to see:

  • Recent VFX and/or Lighting Art experience on a shipped game
  • Mobile or Console game experience is fine
  • You've worked on platforms with 'limitations' such as mobile or VR where the poly counts etc are lower budget
  • Any exposure to UE4/Maya/Substance would be great
  • Undeniable passion for games and an interest in VR platforms
  • Good communication skills and able to work remotely

This is a brilliant role with a growing and talented team. They're very inclusive and collaborative. The role is 100% remote, ideally you'd be based within the UK.

The role is paying between £30,000 - £46,000 and also comes with a host of benefits.
