Job Description Our client consistently produces BAFTA award winning AAA game titles, selling well over 180 million copies to date across all the major formats. But underpinning the success of this company is their cutting-edge and propriety in-house game engine that's constantly evolving to meet the ever increasing demands and challenges of the next generation of consoles.

They have now set up a mobile games studio in the south of the UK and are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Programmer to join their programming team in Brighton. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a generalist to work on all aspects of their award winning games in a small team environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven C#/C/C++ commercial experience within the computer games industry with one or more shipped games.
  • Strong experience of technical design.
  • Capable of providing mentoring and leadership while designing and delivering solutions in a fast paced work environment within a small and focused game team.
  • Excellent knowledge of one programming language, preferably C#, Objective-C or C++, with the aptitude and willingness to pick up new languages and APIs.
  • You love an area of games technology or development which you can show you’ve gone deep into.
  • As a keen gamer you appreciate game design and user experience on all platforms from mobile to consoles.
  • Experience of Unity 3D, another C# game engine, or Unreal Engine.
  • Client/Server development experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of multiple additional programming languages (e.g. C, Java, HLSL, Python, PHP, Javascript, Scala).
  • Experience of iOS, Android or other mobile development desirable.
  • A good degree in Computer Science, Maths, a relevant subject or equivalent experience. (Please put your degree class on your CV and A Level grades.)
  • An awesome portfolio, demonstrating other games you have worked on outside of University.
  • A passion to ship great games to people.
