At Oxford Medical Simulation we're on a mission to save lives by transforming healthcare training.

We're already working with some of the world's biggest and best healthcare institutions, both in the UK and the US and are looking to bring on a Lead Unity Developer.

On a day to day basis you will work with and lead our world class VR development team and work with our other engineering, clinical and education departments to deliver the next phases of the OMS VR Simulation training platform roadmap ( https://youtu.be/yj1tGuuM8Ro ).

You should have significant experience with C# and Unity and a good understanding of VR development, asynchronous networking and multiplayer games.  Also a good understanding of animation within unity including timelines and custom timeline tracks.

You should be able to troubleshoot and solve issues both independently. Be experienced and comfortable in both leading and working well as part of a team. You should be able to find quick solutions as well as be able to adjust your work accordingly with the needs of the project.


  • Minimum 5+ years of c# and Unity programming experience in the games industry with at least 1 shipped title as Lead Developer
  • A good degree 2:1 or above (or equivalent experience) in computer science, Math’s or another related subject
  • Good A-Level and GCSE grades in math and/or physics.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritising different tasks to achieve the project goals
  • Perform well under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible individual with a desire to constantly improve and adapt
  • Ability to be the technical lead for our team of extraordinary devs
  • Great communicator (esp. to non-technical team members)
  • Excellent command of English
  • Be dedicated and great to work with
  • Have the right to work in the UK


  • Networking experience
  • Experience with Perforce
  • Good understanding of agile development
  • Experience in VR development
  • An interest in medicine and healthcare
