POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced Vice President (VP) of Marketing to direct and oversee our central marketing team based in West London & and our US based marketing team too. You will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals, spanning established and developing countries across EMEA and NA/LATAM regions. There is also the opportunity to grow this remit, particularly given our business growth in the Asian regions (especially in China and South Korea).

Coordinating and integrating with a variety of teams across the business, you will have extensive interaction with our highly respected development studio teams which underpin Sega Europe’s ‘developer-led publishing’ approach. You will lead a dedicated, highly motivated team and be responsible for creating integrated marketing strategies and overseeing the successful deployment of these, using metrics to demonstrate results and impact.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop our strategic marketing vision and execution regarding channels, partners & regions
  • Elevate SEGA’s marketing capabilities to the next level, navigating the transition to a ‘games as a service’ led approach
  • You will be directly responsible for three teams;
    • Product Marketing, PR & Community
    • Creative Services
    • Web Design and Online services
  • Define & maintain the KPI’s and standards for the marketing teams to strive towards
  • Continue to drive market leading initiatives, ensuring we remain at the forefront of marketing innovation
  • Drive an integrated approach to multiple agency relationships, directly and together with studio brand teams
  • Identify and drive CRM strategies, supporting the studios where appropriate
  • Establish a robust data process, ensuring that tools and technology stacks are integrated to extract intelligence for teams to act on
  • Ownership & representation of marketing strategies, initiatives and developments. Clearly communicating direction, results and actions
  • Establish communication and visibility across marketing, brand and community teams which will include the pillar studio teams - build the forum for shared learnings and strategic development
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing performance for the leadership team
  • Develop and model the people and skills requirements for the marketing teams
  • Build the strategy and approach for internal and external conferences, shows & workshops
  • Together with the Market Research team, conduct analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth


 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior marketing roles, industry experience
  • Demonstratable success of managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of digital and traditional media with the ability to develop new strategies to reach and influence customers


ADDITIONAL 

  • Excellent planning, organizational and delivery skills
  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal and presentation skills, with experience working with and influencing colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to build positive relationships, consensus and rapport with peers, partners and executives
  • Good understanding of social media and how it can be used to drive PR and brand awareness/demand
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools would be an advantage
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to make difficult decisions
