POSITION OVERVIEW

The role is expected to work as part of the SEGA Central Marketing team, responsible for providing product management support for SEGA published PC & Console products, along with other Marketing and PR related tasks.

The role will support the planning, delivery and implementation of EMEA marketing campaigns for new product releases, DLC, back catalogue releases and tactical campaigns. This role will require close collaboration with other SEGA internal departments including creative services, ESD and international sales teams and accounting in working towards the commercial business objectives.

The candidate will also gain insight into the Studio / Pillar brand teams working with studios such as Amplitude, Creative Assembly, Relic Entertainment, Sports Interactive & SONIC pillar.

 
 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of EMEA ATL marketing campaigns for assigned products in conjunction with the respective brand teams within the Pillar (Studio), PR, sales and channel marketing teams.
  • Be ambassadors for products across the EMEA territory – and a point of contact in the SEGA central marketing team for assigned products.
  • Assist with the management of product budgets effectively, ensuring all spend is tracked, signed off, agreed and within budget providing monthly, quarterly and FY tracking.
  • Assisting with SEGA distributors within the EMEA region, to ensure ATL and channel execution of product specific campaigns.
  • Assist with local-territory-specific asset production / delivery (eg. Language specific assets, contractual or age-rating classification requirements) liaising directly with the studio’s and other departments within SEGA as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of marketing materials.
  • Work closely with external media and marketing agencies as required and represent the franchises and the studios in internal and external meetings.
  • Work closely with the SEGA ESD commercial team to ensure that digital retail needs, primarily Steam’s & other 1st Parties, are well catered for and those relationships remain profitable and optimised.
  • Work closely with PR Team and Head of Product Marketing to ensure that the PR plan supports the marketing plan.
  • Assisting the Central Marketing team with planning and logistics of product events / demos to partners including press and distributors (may involve European travel).
  • Be an ambassador for SEGA products internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with all inter-company SEGA teams to ensure fully aligned execution of marketing strategies.
  • Develop working knowledge of EMEA market places, retail landscape, consumer profile, marketing activity and pricing economics.
  • Commercial reporting duties including competitor reporting and asset tracking and optimisation across retail (digital and physical).
  • Presentation building for internal and external execution.
  • Work closely with Community & PR teams on Social media tracking / Community round up reporting.
  • Assisting with marketing post campaign analysis.


 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Preferable marketing experience within a global / European organisation ideally within the games industry or related entertainment industry.
  • Business Studies or Marketing qualifications to A-level standard or higher.
  • Must be detail oriented, possess good time management skills and be able to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for video games and the games industry – preferably an experienced games player with a working knowledge across all platforms.
  • Excellent English skills and familiarity with PC software packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in current media trends including social media, within the specialist gaming environment and wider.
  • Pro-activeness to think ahead and identify tasks that need to be carried out and the motivation to complete these on own initiative.
  • A good understanding of current SEGA franchises and PC Gaming as a whole is extremely desirable.
  • Excellent presentation skills, to all sizes of audience.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships within organisations and externally with members of the public.
