Red Kite are working on a variety of exciting open world AAA games and has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced gameplay programmer to strengthen and shape one of our teams. In this role you will be expected to implement and maintain a wide variety of game features and functionality, in collaboration with our multi-disciplined development teams. Your knowledge and expertise will also be invaluable in supporting projects across a multitude of platforms, genres and game areas. In your new role you will:·       Collaborate with the design team to create, iterate and deliver gameplay mechanics.·       Implement well-engineered, reliable, scalable and maintainable code across a wide variety of projects.·       Follow best practices, development processes, documentation and coding standards.·       Devise innovative solutions to overcome platform constraints.·       Mentor less experienced people, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.·       Assist in planning your work and the work of others. To be successful you will have:·       Shipped multiple titles.·       Strong C++ programming skills.·       A desire to solve problems.·       A passion for games and game technology. Experience in any of these areas may be advantageous but not essential:·       Prior console development experience.·       Leveraging tools and systems within Unreal or Unity to deliver gameplay mechanics.·       Adoption of efficient development methodologies (e.g. continuous integration, automated testing, tools pipelines, etc.).
