Job Description We are looking for a Project Manager to work with our client in their Product Development teams.
You will work closely with a Product Manager to support all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including creating plans, monitoring progress, co-ordinating testing and release management. The pace is often fast but rewarding. 
This position is a good fit for Project Managers with a software engineering background.

Responsibilities:
Support the Product Manager in the planning and development of production software to agreed timescales, quality and cost
Create project plans
Monitor and adjust plans to ensure milestones are achieved
Co-ordinate the product test activities
Co-ordinate the development of software with internal and external teams
Report progress to the Product Manager
Manage internal non-production projects.
Work with Product Managers and teams to improve software development processes.

Qualifications:
BSc in a technical discipline or equivalent.
A post graduate project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM etc.) would be an advantage.

Skills Required:
Essential:
Experience of managing a range of software development projects with the following characteristics: low risk/cost/importance/ visibility; single organization; single site.
Experience of managing at least one software development project with some of the following characteristics: medium risk/cost/importance/visibility; commercial customer/supplier relationship; multiple sites.
Experience of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem solving skills

Desirable:
Experience of Agile methods especially Scrum and Kanban
Experience of project management tools including JIRA
Experience of improving software quality
Understanding of programming tools

General:
Candidates must be eligible to work legally within the British Isles
Candidates must be able to travel occasionally in Europe, USA and Asia
