Backend Developer – Mobile Title – 100% Remote working (From the UK)
A South-East based Games studio are currently looking for a Backend Developer to work on a new innovative mobile title, which they’re aiming to dominate its genre. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.
The studio requires this person to work closely with the CTO and a small backend team and help build the backend for this title. The Backend is very early in development, so your task will be to work on enhancing its features to be able to cope with a huge demand and be involved with how quickly users connect to the game without any issues.
The game will be exciting and fast paced, so part of your role must ensure that the gameplay process is smooth and lag free. This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a specialist backend programmer who enjoys working in a flat structure and has proven experience of building highly scalable systems, which can hold a high number of concurrent users.
In return the studio can offer fully remote working from anywhere in the UK, Private Medical Insurance, a generous Holiday Allowance, Quarterly Team/Fun days and access to multiple onsite hubs, for days you want to collaborate in person.
This is a fully remote working role; however you must be eligible to work in and currently living in the UK to apply.
