Communications Manager – PC/Console Studio – Hertfordshire
Amiqus have partnered with an exciting studio based in Hertfordshire who are looking to hire a Communications Manager to join their growing team. The studio has helped release some of the best indie games on the Console/PC market and this position will offer you the chance to work with these titles and new releases.
As a member of the PR and Product team, you will be working closely with the developers and helping them plan their future releases. Other responsibilities include talking to internal PR, Social Media and Product Teams to help get ‘the word out’ on these exciting new releases, by writing compelling press releases and working with the team to help drive engagement and grow their communities. The position comes with a lot of influence in the studio as you’ll be directly interfacing with all sides of game development, from sales, retail, influencer relationships, development and social media.
The role will offer you a fast-paced environment in a fast-growing studio with games that have attracted a large number of players. You will also be involved with the product launch of new upcoming titles and taking studios through the journey of first contact to a shipped release. You’ll also get the opportunity to attend worldwide events and liaise with their existing Marketing Team to uphold a positive brand and PR for the studio.

This role offers a hybrid model which is onsite twice a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) with the rest working remotely.

Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry in either Marketing, PR, Community Management or similar
- Good usage of Social Media sites
- Experience of writing and distributing press releases for internal and external use
- Ability to interface with clients, consumers and media
- Highly approachable and a good ability to network
- An avid player of indie games
